DESCRIPTION:PD Cafe with Gordon Woods is an informal\, roundtable conversation on the full range of topics related to PD. This will be an open session chat with Gordon\, and a great opportunity to ask questions about PD. \n\n\n\nGordon Woods is from Las Cruces\, NM and studied chemistry (BS 1974)\, microbiology\, medicine (MD 1980)\, and internal medicine (board-certified 1984). He joined the faculty of UC\, Davis (1989)\, U.IL (1996)\, U.AZ (2004)\, and the TTUHSC Paul L. Foster School of Medicine in TX (2009). Dr. Woods has been managing his own PD diagnosis since 2011 and retired to Santa Fe\, New Mexico in 2021. He enjoys music\, traveling\, writing\, and\, of course\, boxing.

DESCRIPTION:Speaker:  Dr. Jason Hao – Neuroacupuncture \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nChinese Scalp Acupuncture is a contemporary acupuncture technique integrating traditional Chinese needling methods with Western medical knowledge of the brain.  Scalp acupuncture is a modern technique with just 39 years of history.  Scalp acupuncture has been proven to be the most effective technique to treating acute and chronic central nervous system disorders. Dr. Hao will discuss the benefits of neuroacupuncture for people with Parkinson’s Disease. \n\n\n\nJason Hao is editor in chief and translator in chief for the textbook ACUPUNCTURE AND MOXIBUSTION published by World Federacy of Chinese Medicine Society. Jason Hao currently serves as the vice-chairman for the education guiding committee at World Federacy of Chinese Medicine Society. Jason Hao is the president of the Neuro-acupuncture Institute in the USA. He was former chairman of the acupuncture committee in the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). He is the author of the book\, Chinese Scalp Acupuncture. Jason Hao has been practicing and researching scalp acupuncture for 44 years and has been teaching classes and seminars in the USA and Europe since 1989. His full biography can be found here. \n\n\n\nDr. Hao and his assistant will demonstrate and discuss the benefits of this technique for those who are interested.  This event will be 2 hours long.
