- New Class: Yoga for Parkinson’sby Bob
Adrienne has added a new class to the calendar at the POP Santa Fe Gym!
Yoga For Parkinsons
Mondays @ 3:00 pm-4:00 pm, pay what you can.
Heather Faucher
This class focuses on alignment, posture, balance, strength, and flexibility. Heather incorporates yoga breathing techniques that help with relaxation, anxiety, and also digestive/elimination issues that are common to PD. There are no prerequisites for this class, but it is helpful to be able to get up and down from the floor with moderate ease, although Heather and any support volunteers can help with this. This class is very practical (no woo-woo chanting) and taught in English (as opposed to Sanskrit.) A yoga mat is recommended but not required. Care partners are welcome. Namaste, everyone!
Heather Faucher has worked in the fitness industry for 25 years, teaching cardio kickboxing, group cycling (Spinning), group weight lifting, yoga, core training, and as a personal trainer. She also has a brown belt in Seido (closed fist) karate.
- Connection is Medicine: Rocky – Finding your Cornerby BobConnection is Medicine
Rocky – Finding Your Corner
Starts August 5, 2026
Meets via Zoom from 2:00pm – 3:30 pm Mountain Time for 16 weeks.
Registration is required.
Tuition information is below.Connection is Medicine is built around a simple belief: people living with Parkinson’s need more than information and treatment. We also need places where our voices can be heard with impact, where we can tell the truth about our lives, exercise our creativity, strengthen our sense of identity, and remind one another that none of us has to face this alone.
A new online program has been created especially for the Rock Steady Boxing community: Cinema Therapy: Rocky – Finding Your Corner.
The class will meet online for 16 weeks and use scenes from Rocky, music, guided conversation, improvisation, and creative writing to help participants explore their own lives through the stages of the Hero’s Journey. Participants are required to write and submit one page of original writing every week for the duration of the course via Google Docs.
Tuition for the full 16-week Cinema Therapy: Rocky program is $2,000. Scholarships and reduced tuition may be available for participants who need financial assistance on a case-by-case basis. YesAndX does not want cost alone to prevent someone from exploring the program. Interested participants are encouraged to contact YesAndX to discuss available financial support.
