Connection is Medicine is built around a simple belief: people living with Parkinson’s need more than information and treatment. We also need places where our voices can be heard with impact, where we can tell the truth about our lives, exercise our creativity, strengthen our sense of identity, and remind one another that none of us has to face this alone.

A new online program has been created especially for the Rock Steady Boxing community: Cinema Therapy: Rocky – Finding Your Corner.

The class will meet online for 16 weeks and use scenes from Rocky, music, guided conversation, improvisation, and creative writing to help participants explore their own lives through the stages of the Hero’s Journey. Participants are required to write and submit one page of original writing every week for the duration of the course via Google Docs.

Tuition for the full 16-week Cinema Therapy: Rocky program is $2,000. Scholarships and reduced tuition may be available for participants who need financial assistance on a case-by-case basis. YesAndX does not want cost alone to prevent someone from exploring the program. Interested participants are encouraged to contact YesAndX to discuss available financial support.
