This year’s event will take place at the Glorieta Conference Center September 23 – 24 and is presented by the Aging and Long-Term Services Department (ALTSD).
This year’s conference theme is “Caring Across Generations”. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in informative sessions, recreational activities, and get connected with important resources.
Yoga for Parkinson’s starts on Monday, September 14. Class meets weekly at 3pm in the POP Gym.
This class focuses on alignment, posture, balance, strength, and flexibility. Heather Faucher incorporates yoga breathing techniques that help with relaxation, anxiety, and also digestive/elimination issues that are common to PD.
Cinema Therapy: Rocky – Finding Your Corner. This is a new online program created especially for the Rock Steady Boxing community:
Beginning Wednesday, August 5, from 1:00–2:30 p.m. Pacific, the class will meet online (via Zoom) for 16 weeks.

The New Mexico Aging and Long-Term Services Department (ALTSD) is requesting input on their draft Roadmap to Address Dementia and Brain Health 2026-2031. Incorporating Parkinson’s considerations is one of several goals. Please take time to read the roadmap and provide input to ALTSD.
The inaugural meeting of the National Advisory Council on Parkinson’s Research, Care, and Services will be held on Monday, June 29th from 10AM — 4:00PM ET. The meeting will be webcast live on HHS Live Streaming.

This group program is for those who have experienced recent deaths of family, friends, or colleagues. It is free-of-charge and is facilitated by Eileen Joyce, Certified Coach and Grief Recovery Specialist with 25 years of experience.
