A workshop examining the meaning of balance in the stories we tell. How do we honor truth and beauty at the same time? Together, we will reflect on the experience of living with Parkinson’s. After, each participant will have the opportunity to craft their own haiku. Handwriting not required.

Elizabeth Elkins is an attorney who spent a lifetime bewildered by the complex personal tragedies she was asked to address with something as deeply imperfect – and impersonal – as the law. She is now pivoting to a much more powerful tool: storytelling. Guided by her conviction that writing is essential to preserving our humanity, she leads workshops at schools, corporate retreats and treatment centers.
